Entry to School Program
Our Entry to School Program can help support families and prepare children who are entering kindergarten or Grade 1 for the first time.
The Entry to School Program has two components:
- The first six-months will focus on building your child’s school readiness skills in the areas of communication, play, social interaction, daily routines, behaviour management and pre-academics
- The next six-months will focus on supporting your child’s transition to school
Registration and Eligibility
The Entry to School Program is appropriate for you and your child if:
- You have a child between the ages of three to six.
- Your child is entering kindergarten or grade one for the first time.
- Your child has a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Your child is registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
Eligible participants must be registered with the Ontario Autism Program and have received an invitation letter to participate in the Entry to School Program.
